Simple but functional, BB axle requirement is in fact 103mm

I recommend this product
The model delivered differs from the photo, with 5 separate chainring arms, not the hidden 5th arm behind the crank as illustrated Of course does not change the functionality Excellent value Bottom bottom requires 103mm axle (JIS) not 110mm as stated to achieve correct chain line

Hi
Thank you for your enquiry. You will be able to use our part number 27429 for this combination, all you need to do is input this number in to our search box & it will take you straight to them.
Kind Regards. JP 28/10/22

We currently use Thorn 104/64 PCD Triple Crankset MK2 - Black (SJS Cycles part number : 31813) with Thorn 104mm BCD 4 Arm Reversible Single Chainring 3/32 Inch - Black (SJS Cycles part number : 11054) and Shimano UN55 73mm Shell English Thread Sealed Cartridge Taper Bottom Bracket 110mm (SJS Cycles part number : 26973S110) but this crankset may well just fit the other items you currently have on the bike. How do you mount the chainring bolt behind the crankarm?
By

I recently bought this crankset and fitting the crankbolt behind the crank arm and tighten it properly is a pain as the space is so limited. Do you have any recommendations on how to tighten it down properly?
Thanks.
Hi, you need a Chainring Nut Wrench like part 34627 or 15117. Thanks 24/04/2020

I would like to use this crankset with a single chain ring of 36T or 40T. Can you recommend a chain guard to use with this set up?
Hi,

SJS Cycles part number: 11144 would work with anything up to 38T.

Thanks.
Could I use this with a triple setup?
By

These are only suitable for use with 2 chainrings, unless you use an adapter, but we have no experience of this.

Can this be used on a brompton to swap from the standard crank arm length of 170mm?
By
06 Jan 2019
Yes these will fit a Brompton, however it is likely the left pedal will not fold over the thickness of the crank, it also has no pedal stop to reduce frame markings.

I want to change my turbo bike 170mm cranks to match my road bike
You probably will be able to, but they use a different bottom bracket, your local bike shop may be quite useful here.

Thanks
Is this right for a 2006 Raven adventure tandem?
By
08 Apr 2018
I have a second hand Thorn Raven adventure tandem, built in 2006, on which I'd like to replace the original 150mm stoker cranks with a 165mm pair. Originals seem to be a 110mm/74mm BCD triple with only the outer set used. Is this a suitable replacement? Thanks
Hi there,

Yes these will be suitable.

Thanks
Is This Compatible With Current Bromptons?

How much is shipping to New York City?
Hi,

We have never tried to fit this to a Brompton but providing your bike is from 2013 or newer or has a newer JIS type bottom bracket then it may be okay. For a shipping quote just add all of the items you are looking at to your basket and the website should calculate the cost for you.

Thanks.
What Bottom Bracket Are These Made For?
By

Is the spindle JIS or ISO, and what length?
Hi,

It is designed to fit to JIS bottom brackets. The length is dependant on the chainline and frame spacing, we would normally advice 110mm or 113mm options.

Thanks.
