Im looking to replace deore FD a 3 x 9 speed clamp on downpull. I have XTR shifters. Is Sora compatible?

Shimano 9 speed is completely compatible between road and mountain group sets, make sure the derailleur is compatible with the maximum chainring size (gear range) or it will not shift correctly. SK 27/03/23

I currently have a 2x9 Shimano Sora setup but have now bought a set of second hand 3x9 Shimano Sora shifters. If I bought this front derallieur could you confirm what else I would need to buy? I assume new front chainrings, but would I also need new cranks? If so could you point me in the direction of which cranks I would need to buy? Thanks in advance.

provided it's a 9 speed chainset and youy are using a road shifter it then depends on the ring sizes and seat tube/chainstay angle, it might work with an outer ring as small as 48t, why not buy a relevant MTB shifter? RT070619
