Missing B screw?
By
01 Jun 2019
Following on from your reply about there being no B screw - My top jockey wheel is touching the large cog when in 1st gear. Without a B srcew how can i adjust it away from the cassette?
The main style of bike this kind of mech came on had semi horizontal dropouts, so the derailleur sat further back meaning there was no need for a B screw.

No B screw ?

Bought one of these from SJS some time ago but could not use it as the lack of B screw made setting up impossible. Is there some other way of adjusting fore / aft position that I have missed ?

Method Of Attaching Derailleur To Frame
By
25 Aug 2014
How does this attach to the frame? Not apparent from picture. I have the standard forged road dropout with integral threaded hanger, but desire the MTB mechanism rather than a road one to cope with a broader spread of rear sprockets. Thanks for any advice.
Hi,

This attaches the same as any normal derailleur, there is a threaded bolt on the back which can be screwed into the dropout hanger.

Thanks.
