I recommend this product
I like bottle dynamos, these AXA ones are good and give plenty power from walking pace . lined up properly with the tyre wall and axle they run fairly quietly and don't slip in the rain as some experts proclaim .

What dimension of space is required for it to operate?
By

For example, I have Thorn Sherpa with mounting points on RHS of fork for a dynamo. I also have Surly Nice front rack. Will there be enough space between the rear of the front rack and the fork for the dynamo to fit when it is not engaged with the rim. Thanks

using upside-down? & which cable?
By
27 Jan 2023
Hi is there any reason I could not put this upside-down over the back wheel, using a 'left' on the right I suppose. Also can I make a circuit using two core cable, or does it make a circuit through the frame. Thank you.
It is possible but never tested, the system uses twin core cable to make a circuit. SK 31/03/23
Cantilever boss bracket

Are you able to supply the bracket that fixes to the cantilever boss, as shown in the photo on the item listing. I believe they're available from elsewhere in Europe but at prohibitive postage costs. Thanks.
Good morning, we currently do not stock the backet you are looking at, we only have regular fork blade mounted brackets. SK 12/01/22

Hi, does it matter if I purchase a left or right Dynamo?
By
12 Dec 2020
I have never used one before so am unsure of the difference
Yes it does matter- as the spring to keep them held against the rim will only push one way- as such you must select the type of dynamo suited for your mounting location- left or right fork leg.
