Can I use this to extend a cable running to my SP dynamo hub

I want to extend my cable that runs from the SP dynamo in the front wheel to the front light as I am changing the positioning of the front light.
Could I connect a loose wire directly into this or would I need another adapter to go with it?

This will work, you will also need 2x 2.4mm male spade end connectors and some heart shrink to seal and cover the join. SK 05/02/24
