These will fit Shimano and SP hub dynamos just fine. May fit others too, not sure. With black and grey bits separated, wires thread in through the small holes in the black bit, then through the holes in the grey bit and fold back into the grooves on the grey bit. Grey bit then slides inside black bit which holds the wires in place. The folded back bit of wire is what touches the dynamo contacts. Simple and effective.

A useful spare to have and easy to fit. There are no small screws to lose and no need to solder anything. Just be sure to strip the wires to the correct length. There's a diagram on Shimano's ww

Does this work with SON 28 dynamo hub terminals

Hi,

Will this connector work with SON 28 dynamo hubs. The SON spade connectors are very stiff to attach and also require a crimping tool. The Shimano connector is, I gather, easy to attach and I have read can be used on other hubs including SON but would like confirmation.

This would also be a great easy to fit option to carry as a spare on long multi-day rides.

Thank you for your enquiry. Unfortunately this connector is not compatible with SON dynamo hubs, to attach a light you will have to use the spade connectors or as an alternative their SON Coaxial Adapter w/ Male Connection which is our item number 46595 however this will require soldering.

This Looks Exactly Like The Brompton Tab Conector Set?

Everywhere else on the internet the standard connector blocks are listed as Standard Shimano connector for hub dynamos. This and the Brompton Tac Connector look very much the same item? I have the DH

They look very similar because they are, the only difference is that one is branded by Brompton so people are aware that they are compatible with Shimano/Brompton dynamo hubs.
