Details
Includes 27.2 mm seat post and shim, and high quality headset. Supplied with expedition quality steel fork with carrier, mudguard, dynamo and lamp bosses. This frame is suitable for suspension forks from 80 mm - 120 mm travel routing for EX version of the Rohloff hub, stainless guides and bosses, M6 stainless carrier bosses on front fork, stainless seat clamp. ISO rear disc mount. Seat tube is 31.8 mm, top tube is 31.8 mm, down tube is 34.9 mm, 19 mm seat stays.

Although the geometries of the sizes 620M and 620L are suspension compatible, because of the length of their head tubes, there's no suspension fork (that we're aware of) with a steerer sufficiently long enough to be useable with these particular two frame sizes.

INCLUDES:, 1 1/8 (28.6mm) Orbit XL2 threadless headset, 27.2mm alloy micro adjust seat post, alloy eccentric and eccentric screws.

Does not include: fixing screws, bottom bracket or adaptors (SJSC part 11703) to change 2 x M5 bosses on rear dropout to 1 x M6 boss.

We highly recommend that customers add SJSC Item # 23407 Frame Workshop Prep (Includes all threads tapped and stainless bolts fitted for racks, mudguards and bottle bosses.)

How much does the 565M weigh?
By

Hi there,

The frame weight if 3.24kg and the Fork Weight is 1.34kg (steerer uncut). If weight is a deciding factor it's probably the wrong frameset for you. #

Thanks.

I currently ride an old Dawes galaxy with 531 tubing which I like. I can’t make out the Reynolds decal on the frame of the thorn
Hi,

The Nomands use Thorn 969 Double Butted, Seamless, Heat Treated, Cold Drawn, Cro-Mo!

Nomad X Frame

I read about a new Nomad X frame in the Living with Rolhoff article but I can't see mention of it here. Can you explain?

Is the Nomad a match for the Sterling as an xc MTB if set up appropriately? Thanks,

Andrew

Disc Fork For Thorn Nomad Mks Frame
By
28 Dec 2013
Hi,

I really like the Thorn Nomad MK2 frame, but I miss a disc ready fork.
Is there any possibility to buy the Thorn Nomad frame with an disc ready steel fork (like the Surly fork is)?

Thanks for letting me know!

Best,
Martin
Hi,

I'm afraid because it comes as a frame and fork set it is not possible to swap the fork out for a different one so if you wanted the Surly fork you would have to purchase it separately.

Thanks.
