I recommend this product
ConsNone
ProsQuality machining.
I don't have any thing to compare this to as the Shimano that came with the bike was well used. Did do a weight comparison and they're the same (give or take about 5gms or so) Superb quality, distinctive click, this thing feels well made and manufactured.

brand new skyways, got one of these freewheels but only screws on quarter turn then sticks, don't want to force it

Sadly we do not sell this wheel so we cannot confirm, but if it has freewheel threading this should fit fine.

What is the width of this thing? Looks to be a bit wider than other common freewheels but I may be wrong.

Cheers.

Is This A Direct Replacement For A Shimano Sfmx30 18T ?
By

Is this a direct replacement for a Shimano SFMX30 18T ?

I want to use a better quality freewheel on my single speed bike, which currently has a Shimano SFMX30. Can I simply swap it out with this one?

And is there a special tool to use to unscrew these off and on?

Cheers.
Hi,

As this is a screw on free-wheel system then it should be a straight forward swap form one to the other. A basic 4peg free-wheel removal tool will fit both of them, the IceToolz LMA-8 is the most basic one we have; SJSC part number 29022.

thanks.
