How does the depth of this compare to a 7 speed Shimano screw on freewheel

I'm wondering whether the freewheel may be too wide for my rear forks - which I am sure are standard width, whatever that is.
The 8 speed freewheel is 5mm wider on average than a 7 speed freewheel. SK 13/08/25
Is this the same as a normal Shimano freewheel?
