I recommend this product
ConsBig - but inevitable - jump from 1st to 2and gear.
ProsNow low enough bottom gear. No problems with gear changing.
Enabled me to keep using my folding bike here in the Pennines, in conjunction with a Shimano MTB derailleur. Now I never have to get off and push, thanks to 'underdrive'!
Excellent

Can I replace the sprockets individually?
By

What is the right tool for removing the sprocket lockring? I keep replacing the whole when I only need a 34t big sprocket. A more even spread of ratios would be nice too.
Thank you for enquiry, no the freewheel is riveted together in one piece, for the tool please see SJS Cycles part number : 27348

Can I take this apart and use some of the cogs on a 6 speed hub? I cant get my freehub off.

I would like a wider range on my tandem gears but i can't get the freehub off the wheel (I've tried bolting the removal tool and fixing it into a vice - but broken the cast steel vice!). I have removed the locking rung on y block and can therefore mix and match the cogs, if I can get the right ones to fit the freehub. Does the locking ring come off this block so that I can take cogs off it?
NO- we do not advise taking this apart. This is riveted together so it cannot be disassembled

By

Hi, yes this uses the same fitting however note that this Freewheel uses 13-34T gearing and MF-TZ31 uses 14-34t gearing.

Difficult to advise without discussing more but the following would PROBABLY work;

Chainset - SJS Cycles part number : 13441
BB - SJS Cycles part number : 31L110 - (110mm)
Front mech - SJS Cycles part number : 46426
Rear Mech - https://www.sjscycles.co.uk/derailleurs-rear-road/?speed=7 - either depending on fitting.

Thank you very much

Is Gear Selection As Good As Shimano? Is This Suitable For An Indexed System?
By
24 Mar 2017
Hi,

As these are a direct Shimano copy the shifting should be very close to Shimano. These are suitable for an indexed system.

Thanks.
