Quite stiff

Having bought the 5 speed hub and this shifter I was surprised to find how much stiffer it is to change gear than on my 3 speed hub and shifter. But I suppose turning around a larger radius it inevitably would be, not good for my arthriticy thumb,wish I'd bought the 3 speed set up instead for this 2nd bike.

Hi can I use this with my Velorbis 5-speed?

I have a Velorbis Victoria Classic 5 speed from 2015 and need to replace the broken gear shifter - is this suitable?

Will This Shifter Work With A Pashley Paramount?

i bought a 2nd hand Pashley Paramount with twist grip shifters that look very tatty. I would prefer to use thumb shifters. If these are not suitable can use please recommend some that are. Many thanks, Dave

Hi,

From the information I have found online regarding your bike it appears to use the older type of Sturmey 5spd hub rather than the new rotary shift design which is what this shifter is for. The correct thumb shifter for the older type of hub is still available and is SJSC part number 24028.

Does This Shifter Work With The X-Rd5 (W) Hub?

This shifter is not suitable for use with X-Rd5 (W) hub I'm afraid, this is specifically for the new rotary shift hubs. The correct thumb shifter for use with that hub is SJSC parts 24028.
