I recommend this product
Consnone so far
ProsCompatible with Shimano MTB derailleurs range !
Don't try to compare to brifters, it's not the same business! Good finish and ergonomics. They work flawlessely and seem tough. Supposedly reliable. We'll see on that (if comparable to Shimano's, they will last for ages…).

Can I use these shifters or an 11 speed micro shifter with a 10 speed 105 RD and cassette

NO, as these are for MTB derailleurs, not the road (Shimano 105).

Can I use with a Sturmey Archer CS-RK3 hub?
By
18 May 2020
Any reason the left hand "front mech" friction lever would not work with a Sturmey Archer CS-RK3 hub?
You would have no indexing / knowing where you were within the hub indexing. We would not recommend it.

Hi, can I use these with a Deore 3 x 9 transmission?
By

I’m looking to upgrade to 3 x 10 speed Deore in future, but would like to use these if possible to replace broken 9 speed Sti levers in the short term. Thanks
These can be used in friction, so yes!

Is this compatible with Dura Ace 7700 9 speed derailleur?
By
29 Feb 2020
i’m on a budget an would like to share these bar-ends on 2 bikes. One runs a Ultegra RD-6700-A 10 speed (so that should work fine), the other is an older Dura Ace 7700 9 speed. Would these shifters work on that bike as well? For example, by using the L screw to limit the last cog? Thank you.
No, these are MTB ratio shifters, you need SJS Cycles part number : 19586 for the 10 speed. For the 9 speed; SJS Cycles part number : 38061
AND SJS Cycles part number : 38063

The description makes it sound like the level is also aluminum. Is this correct? Or, is it aluminum with a rubber housing?
Yes, the lever is fully aluminium, with a rubber covering.

I would like to run a 10spd Shimano Deore M610 rear mech and a Shimano 105 5700 10spd front mech on a gravel bike. Would these shifter be compatible with both mechs?
Hi, yes. The rear indexing should be fine, the front will be friction. Thanks 29/04/2019
Do you sell it only in pairs? Should I buy set even if I need right shifter for 1x10 transmission?
By

Hi there,

Unfortunately we do only sell these as pairs.

Thanks.
Can I use the rear with an MTB long cage clutch mech to make a 1x10 drivetrain for drop bars?
By
28 Oct 2018
As above, considering using a bar end shifter with an MTB clutch derailleur for 1x10 or 11 drivetrain ideally with indexed shifting.

Any suggestions, please? Thanks
Yes this will work with any Shimano MTB 10 speed rear mech, if you want to use 11 speed then you could use SJS Cycles part number : 35340 and add in to convert to use MTB 11 mech and cassette.
