ProsShift well. Easy cable replacement
These shifters are what to use for reliable bike on long audaxes. Fed up with brifters cables breaking every 100000 clicks with no notice and having to change a cable on a long ride or ride single speed. These shifters cable rarely break and if they do are quickly replaced

Will Dura-ace bar end work deore XT rear derailleur

No this is not a recommended combination, thee Dura-Ace bar ends are 10 speed indexed for road systems. While you maybe able to make this combo work we cannot guarantee or recommend its success.

Only Shimano ROAD 10 speed rear derailleurs will work with this- Sora/ Tiagra (except 4700 series) / 105/ ultegra/ Dura Ace

You can use with any Shimano road 10 speed rear derailleur.

Got one working great with 10 speed STIs so assuming would work with these too with another rear mech I have which I want to fit to a tandem or MTB
NO, they are 10 speed indexed for road systems- while you maybe able to make this combo work we cannot guarantee the success of this.

Not really- as they are designed for drop bars to replace bar end plus. Your 105 system must be 10 speed as these are indexed shifters.

These shifters can only be used with 10spd road groupsets as they use a different cable pull to 10spd MTB groupsets. Your Deore groupset is a MTB groupset so won't be compatible I'm afraid.

Friction Shift

Are these particular bar end shifters friction as well as sis indexed? If not, please advise which 10 speed bar ens shifters can be used in friction mode.
Hi,

The left hand shifter for the front derailleur is friction only, but the right hand shifter for the rear derailleur is indexed only. If you're planning to run friction on both all of the time then you can go for any speed shifter with a friction option as the friction setting is not specific to any number of gears.
