Works well as a parking brake lever

ProsSolid, well made and looks/performs better than the trike manufacturers supplied lever.
Bought to operate the disc parking/drag brake on my recumbent trike. The lever pulls cable with a series of micro clicks and releases cable with a smooth friction action so it feels not unlike a car handbrake in operation. Works perfectly for my intended use.

I recommend this product
I use this shifter on the left side of my S5/2A 5-speed alloy hub. For the right side I use the 3 Speed Sturmey Archer SLS30-T Thumbshifter.
Works perfect!

Will this work well with a Shimano Ultegra 6703 triple front mech?
By

Can you specify the handlebar diameter the lever will fit?
This is friction, so there is no indexing and it will work with any front mech. 22.2mm bar clamp.

Can I use this gear shifter on my 2018 Brompton to shift the rear two cogs instead of the original one supplied with the bike ?
Unfortunately it won't work with Brompton
Thanks

Did You Test That?
By

As a follow up on Emil's question of March 28th.
Did you actually try this shifter with a 9-speed cassette? This video made me think it might be possible: https://vimeo.com/126644183
Hi,

On this occasion it was not tested but in our experience a left hand friction shifter of this style does not have a sufficient total cable pull to cope with a 9spd rear derailleur.

Thanks.
Could This One In A Pinch Be Used With A 9 Speed Rear Derailleur?
By

Hi,

Unfortunately not, as it is designed for use with front derailleurs it will not have enough total cable pull to work with a 9spd rear derailleur.

Thanks.
