I bought this for a friend when he asked me to do his bike up. The original cable guide for the front derailleur had snapped off and this works perfectly to replace it.

ProsGreat solution to a tricky problem

Converting an old steel frame to more modern shifters and there is nothing else available to use as cable stops. Fortunately, these are great. Look good and perform remarkably well

Simple, functional, well made and tough. The colour matches my powder coated LHT black frame too! 5 Stars for loving it?
Well I admit I love it. In time I shall find my eyes drifting to other pieces of gear and those feeling will fade, I'm sure, but even if it did let me down in return, I can order a replacement :)

Conscomparably pricey, but still cheaper than competing products

Proshigh quality, 100% function, nice to look at

Mine, like most bikes has the cables routed via the bottom bracket, which is a bit unfortunate when the bike will be exposed to anything tham good weather and dry roads, As my bike furthermore offers to have the cables routed underneath the top tube, I was looking for a piece like this as mine was lacking the cable stop on the seat tube. Well, what can I say: awesome piece, good quality and reasonable price!

Size up or down?

I have a frame that has been liberally powder coated and as such measures 29.2mm diameter. Would the 28.6 fit or would I be better sizing up with a shim?

I would use a shim and a larger size, to use the smaller size would damage the powder coating and over stress the clamp. SK 15/05/25

Can I use this with a Specialized Allez Elite 2016 aluminum frame?

I have a 2003 giant tcr with broken cable mounts. The tube is circular

Hi,

Unfortunately it is not usually recommended to clamp onto carbon in a place that was not designed for it. That said this clamp-on cable stop will not be taking any load so if you're careful it may be okay but it is still not really recommended.

A 15cm circumference gives a diameter of nearly 48mm which is much larger than any of the cable clamps we stock I'm afraid.
