Perfect For Kids

ProsPerfect for small hands
These bars are perfect for kids(9 up) hands. A lot of 24 inch wheel road bikes come with narrow bar but the reach & drop are too big & make reaching the brake/gear levers difficult. These bars bring the levers closer & with some brake lever shims make operating the brakes much easier. Also well made, light & cheap at £35.

I recommend this product
I've been looking for a compact 26mm bar for a while. Tried a couple of short reach Nitto bars but this is easily the most comfortable, every part of the bar falls readily to hand including drops. At this relatively low price, finish is maybe not quite up to Nitto standard, but the bit you see is nicely chromed so looks great when taped up. Pleasantly surprised and would fully recommend if you want something with modern road bike feel but retro looks.

Prosshape, size
Was searching high and low for compact bars in the same shape as FSA Omega, but in silver and 26.0 size. I think these are the only ones in existence! Thought I was going to have to order them from the US, so was delighted to discover SJS sells them. Highly recommended!

Bar measurement
By
07 Apr 2018
Hi,

Where is the centre to centre measurement taken?

In the centre of the drop? Or at the bar ends? And is there a difference in these measurements, due to bar flaring, etc?

Thanks,

Paul
Hi there,

The bar C-C is the same at the tops and the bottom of the drops.

Thanks
26Mm Bars In A 25.4Mm Stem?
By
26 Aug 2015
Will they fit (safely)?
Hi,

Although the difference of only 0.6mm doesn't sound like much, it is not something we would recommend. You may be able to force the bars into the stem but then you may struggle to safely clamp the stem up. Even if you do clamp the stem up the forces acting upon the face plate of the stem are going to be greatly increased meaning that it would not be that safe.

Thanks.
Soma Highway Bar Width Reliable?
By
12 Jan 2015
A user writes in a forum about Soma HWY 1:
"I ordered 44cm and this was actually the measurement from inside to inside, so in reality it was like a 46cm handlebar."
Is that true? Do I have to order 40 cm if I want 42 cm center to center, measured at the top?
Best regards
TL
Hi,

From that forum post its impossible to tell when the post was written and if the bars were bought from ourselves as it may have just been an error on the suppliers site rather than incorrectly produced bars. All of the current bars we have are correct in that the measurements we have listed match Soma's and that they have all been measured centre to centre.

Thanks.
Soma Highway Bar Width?

Are these handlebars measured centre to centre or outside to outside regarding their width.

Thank you,

Trevor
Hi,

They are measured centre to centre as is the standard way for measuring drop bars.

Thanks.
