ConsOriginal only lasted about 3000 miles, although I do ride in all weathers. On my commuter bike.
ProsCheaper than a new wheel and easy to fit.
The right part to repair my wheel!

Good service from SJS Cycles with this, not many places had them in stock but found one on SJS website. Was posted out quickly and went straight on with no problems.

As the wheel bearings run in the freehub my back wheel sounds nice and quiet again now

If using a 10spd cassette with this freehub...does it need a ring/spacer behind the cassette?

Thank you for your enquiry. You will not need a spacer behind the cassette when using this freehub with a 10 speed cassette, it is 8, 9 & 10 speed compatible as these cassettes are the same width.

No- as this is a 10-speed freehub body.

Hello, I have a 2012 Giro with R500 wheels and 9 speed cassette. The free hub is clunky and I reckon I'll need to address this soon. Is this freehub a compatible replacement, and is it superior to the original? Cheers Tony

Does The Free Hub Include The Small Internal Ball Bearings?

Hi,

The freehub includes the small bearings that allow it to spin but it does not include the main axle bearings that also sit inside of it.

What Speed Cassette Will These Freehubs Take? 10? 11?

Hi,

This freehub is designed to be fitted to the WH-R500/501 wheels which are all 10spd, that said you could also fit 8 or 9spd cassettes to them as well.
