Can I use S3C pedal break

I have "Sturmy Archer 3 speed hub with pedal break from 1982 Model S3C, Can you please tell me which size chain or model name or number indicator is compatible with this? Unfortunately I don't have the old Chain indicator.

I think the S3C came in different axle lengths, if in doubt err on the side of shorter, you'll still be able to connect the cable but NOT have the 2nd gear adjustment with the shoulder lever to the end of the axle.RT
