Details
All axles are made with aircraft quality 4130 steel
The steel is specifically made for Wheels Manufacturing
Heat treated to increase strength without making the axle brittle
The threads are rolled, not cut, for the best thread strength and ease of assembly
The rolling of the thread removes no metal from the axle and preserves the grain of the material, maximising said strength

ConsLack of keyways, expensive. Prone to breakage despite rolled threads.
ProsEnables use of earlier Campagnolo hubs in more modern wider OLN frames
Purchased to replace similar wheels manufacturing axle which had broken on the block side part way down the roll threaded area - cause unknown.
The lack of the milled keyways present in the original Campagnolo axles detracts from this premium priced product as you are unable to assemble using original equipment Campagnolo washers. Are plain washers between locknuts sound engineering practice?
A very useful product which could certainly be further improved.

Have you a longer axle for the above wheels,Asa the standard ones do not allow me to tighten up the back wheel as there is insufficient overlap whe fitted into my track bike ,a pinerello x track

The longest solid axle we stock suitable for a track bike with the Campagnolo thread is 174mm. These are SJSC part number 17111.
