Designed originally to fit bottom bracket dynamos to the front of a carrier rack, centrally, the securering bolt is even hollow to allow remote control operation. This strong alloy bracket fits to the round section of a rack with a diameter of up to 8mm by means of 2 conical wedges. With amendment this bracket offers the DIY bike mechanic hours of potential fun and delight.

Purchased mine from yourselves 2016 .finally got round to testing . Out of my 3 bottom bracket dynamos Sanyo, solubitz, and Union it (the bracket) is only compatable with the Union. Mounted on front of Pletscher-Esge low rider rack . it clamps very securely. Seems to be all things West German. Works well

Suitable for round-profile rack bars?

I have an older-style Thorn Expedition rear rack with round bars / no bracket to support a rear light. It is difficult to find a robust bracket or light that will fix to the rack bars. Is this a suitable bracket to mount a range of rear LED lights on the Thorn rack?
Hi,

This bracket will clamp to round profile rack bars (up to 8mm in diameter) but it will not take a light without serious modification as it was originally designed for use with a bottom bracket dynamo.
