This bracket bolts onto the fork boss of older type machines. It is chrome plated and comes complete with bolt and washer. Chrome plated finish.

ConsBolt wrong size.

ProsEnabled me to use my old 70s/80s Ever-ready lamp.

The bolt was too large for my bike's front fork, but I had one which fitted. Otherwise, good.

ConsPoor chrome

ProsOnly at SJS. Price

The thread was correct for my Raleigh-built Carlton and I hadn't seen a similar product elsewhere. It saved me from having an unused boss on my forks. I do agree with a previous reviewer that the chrome could be better.

The bolt is a rather wide imperial size. But uses of bikes with metric bolts might still find the bracket useful. Especially if they have a bar bag which can obscure lamps fitted at the centre of of the forks.

Is this for older forks such as a 1950 Claud Butler?

I have some newer ones which don't fit.

The bolt is an imperial fitting 11/16ths AF (7.7mm) most fork bosses now use a 4mm occasionally a 5mm. SK 14/04/23

Can you please tell me the imperial size of the bolt thread.

Can you please let me know the imperial size of the bolt thread. I need to chase the tread on my forks,as its partly blocked by paint.

The bolt is 26 threads per inch and 7.7mm in diameter which is about 0.30315 inches.

Do you sell a light that is compatible with this mount? I have a bike with the boss on its fork, but no light or mount.
