too wobbly for lights with any size/power

workaround solution to put a handlebar mounted lamp onto a fork. Difficult to get a tight enough clamp to stop light from wobbling, as the cylinder is plastic and the smallest of the common sizes, 22mm I think. It would just about be suitable for a "rubber O ring" type mount (rather than a clamp) and then only for "be seen" lights where you're not bothered about keeping it in an exact orientation.

For a "see where you're going" light which is likely to be more substantial and has to be correctly aligned, stick to buying something that is designed for fork mount in the first place, don't use this.

Hi there,

You can use these with pretty much any fork as long as they do not obstruct the brake or turning.

Thanks
Mounting on Brompton?

Hello,
Can this be mounted on a Brompton L Type?
Hi,

This unfortunately would not be suitable for use on a Brompton as the shape of the mount prevents it from fitting.

Thanks.
Length Of 'U' Part Of Fork Mount?
By
16 Sep 2016
Hello,

Please can you tell me the length of the 'U' part at the bottom of the fork mount, i.e. the length of the part that is flat against the fork crown when it is attached to the fork. My fork crown is recessed beneath the lower headset bearing (it's a threaded headset) and I need to know if the fork mount will fit. Also, please could you tell me the width of the cylinder (you give the diameter as 26 mm).

Thank you.
Hi,

The 'U' part is 22mm long and the cylinder is 34mm wide.

Thanks.
Will This Fit On A Road Bike With Caliper Brakes?

Thorn Audax 752 circa 2001
Hi,

In theory it would be possible, but as it would move the front brake forward meaning there would be less threads in the rear bolt it would not be something we would advise. It could also leave the front brake unstable.

Thanks.
