PLEASE NOTE: This item is supplied unboxed and without any cables for the lighting connections or zip tie to fit the light to the bicycle, hence the bargain price. These parts are available from us seperately and can be found in the linked products below. See SJSC Product 25542 for 2m Cable with Connectors Fitted or alternatively you can buy the cable per metre and attach you own fittings (See SJSC Product 46844 for the Cable, 4614 for the Connectors and 41991 for Heat Shrink). One Cable Tie required to fit the light to the seat post or seat stay.

Recently added to the range the Secula is a compact rear light designed to fit onto either the seat post or the seat stays. It has a standlight. It has a prism system which creates a light crown powered by a single high powered LED which is very distinctive due to its 'spatial' shape. This allows other road users better capacity to estimate the distance to the bicycle. The circumferential elegant transparent glass shines bright red when operating.

LineTec is a very clever concept developed by B&M. Before LineTec cars approaching a bicycle from behind could only see a single rear light spot without being able to judge the distance very accurately. To judge distance the human eye requires spacial relation - especially in 'spaceless' darkness. B&Ms lights with the LineTec light strip emit 'spatial' light. With LineTec other road users can estimate the distance to a cyclist much more accurately.

- Single high powered LED
- Exceptionally bright LineTec light crown
- Standlight

I recommend this product
ConsStay or seatpost fitting may be an issue if using panniers and or saddlebag.
ProsOffer price. Visibility.
Already own one of these lights after spotting one whilst crossing the Pennines in the middle of the night during an audax. Although the lense is small, a large highly visible red glow is emitted. Second one purchased for another bike.

I recommend this product
ConsNeeds connections sealing to make it properly water resistance
ProsBright, works, cheap, easy mounting
I already had cable, zip tie and crimp connectors so this is a big saving over the full product.
Light seems nice and bright (always difficult to assess a dynamo light fully yourself as you have to ride the bike to see the full effect).
The full product looks like it includes 2 grommets to fill the points where cables connect. I used a hot melt glue gun to do this, perhaps not as tidy but effective I hope.
Resistance to knocks is a slight concern - it's an all plastic housing - but hard to fault for this price.

Can this be mounted to seatstay boss/eyelet?
By

It looks like this clamps onto the seatstay but I want to bolt this to the frame either on the seatstay or dropbout mount, is this possible? Thanks
Hi
Thank you for your enquiry. Unfortunately this cant be mounted to an eyelet, it will only mount to the seatstay or seatpost due to its clamp.

Using existing cable

I currently have a SON seatpost mount rear dynamo light piggy backed off a front Edelux II - can I use the cable for this in the Secula or would I need a different cable?
A new cable is needed as the SON rear light has its cable is built into the light.
