(Re)Attach New Cable To Schmidt E6?

Hey guys

i lost the lens (front part) of my Schmidt E6 on the cobbles of Paris-Roubaix. The bracket (for mountaing) also broke. So i had to cut of the cable to save the main part.

Do you know if it's possible to attach/reconnect the cable that has been cut? Or to fit a new cable? If that's possible i could get away with the spare lens.

Hi,

Although its not neat you can re-splice the cable with another cable then cover the connection with something like heat-shrink wrap.
