Cyclo produces two versions of brake fluid - Mineral and DOT - and it is essential to use the correct fluid in your hydraulic brakes. Wide-necked bottle enables syringe to fit right into the bottle, eliminating waste.

IMPORTANT: Brake systems should be tested after any cleaning or maintenance is carried out

Can I use this for Mavic free hub lubing?

Hi,
I have the Mavic Freehub death screech and a low viscosity mineral oil is recommended for lubricating e.g. Shimano mineral oil for brake systems. As the Shimano one is not in stock, is this a suitable replacement?

No, this oil is designed only for hydraulic brake systems, for freehub lubrication a light grease would be better suited- something like Dura-Ace grease- SJS part: 3692

Can I use this with Tektro brakes?

The Tektro fluid already in the brakes is red - is it OK to mix them?

As long as they use mineral oil, yes.
