I recommend this product

It's expensive for the small amount in the syringe, but it goes a very long way so it's quite cheap per use. This stuff does exactly what the manufacturer claims. The syringe applicator is effective. The nozzle fits into cable liners & a quick squirt does the trick of lubricating the cable inner while installing. Good stuff!

Can this be used to lubricate SRAM grip / twist shifters?

SJS Customer Service:

Yes, however in order for this to be effective you would need to fully rebuild the shifter- as such voiding any warranty in the process. There is no manufacture support for disassembling products to this level. To avoid this we would suggest using a light aerosol lubricant such as gt85 instead it can be applied precisely with a straw.
