ConsExpensive, needs 2 more bungy hooks.
ProsQuality
An big improvement to the old style "popper button" map case, the bungy clips are good at having many different positions for the map as you ride along. Waterproof (but can fog up if you packed the map in humid conditions such as multi day cycle camping touring and then the sun comes out, that is normal)
After a tour of Scotland using map and Garmin (I like the Garmin for large towns and cities and for telling me where I am and maps for route planning on the go.) I I vested in extra bungy hooks so mine has 6 as then the map is easier to reposition/flip/fold as the day passe

Consclips are fiddly
ProsGood size for UK maps, and is touch-screen compatable
seems good though I've not used it much yet. Clips that hold it to the bag lid are a bit awkward. Size is good for OS maps (1to 50 K). Pricy addition to a pricy bag though.

Can I use this with a Carradice Super C bar bag?

The replacement pocket I got last year (from Carradice) was a cheap and nasty affair and not a patch on the original supplied with the bag many years ago.

We cannot confirm if this will work with the Carradice bag, it is designed to work with the rigid top on the Ortleib bag. SK 23/08/23
will this attach to an ultimate 5 version bar bag (with poppers on)

It provides a transparent front and rear cover made of tear-resistant and UV-resistant polyurethane, has internal dimension of 28 x 27 cm & is deemed suitable for all standard map formats.

Is this the replacement map case for the original press-stud type fixing?

Compatible with all Ultimate handlebar bags (except for the Ultimate Compact) - the clips sit over the edge of the lid.
