Not Just For Sprung Saddles

I wanted this because the original mount that my (medium)Topeak saddle bag came with caused the bag to take up all of my seatpost, meaning there was no room to attach a light or my zefal mudguard. This mount is more sturdy than the original one, with a metal, 2 bolt clamp versus the plastic, 1 bolt original. It has the effect of moving the saddle bag a couple of inches back and upwards, meaning I now have enough room for the other bits!

what is the width of the mounting bracket slots, C-C?

I have measured the C-C dims of my saddle, and wish to know if this would fit....
This is 43mm +/- 2mm.
