If the standard mounting hooks are too small to fit on the tubes of your bike rack, simply replace the standard hooks with a set of 18mm Ortlieb hooks, however please note that this cannot be used with inserts.
For all models with the QL2 or QL2.1 system.

Compatibility of Ortliebe QL2.1 mounting hooks

Couple of questions on the mounting hooks you sell. I'm looking for a direct replacement of the current ones.
1. On the Ortlieb website, these come with inserts, but your website says they are not compatible with inserts. Are these not the same QL2.1 hooks?
1. On the Ortlieb website, they come in 16, 18 and 20mm, but I don't know what the size refers to. The "inside diameter" of mine looks like 16mm, so maybe yours won't fit?"

SJS Customer Service:
This is a wider clamp so the inserts will not work, it will only attach to 18mm rack rails, the 16/18/20mm referred to the tube diameter of your rack. Description updated. SK 12/02/24
