I recommend this product
The mud flap was quick and easy to install, and does a very good job of protecting the hub motor casing and my shoes.

I recommend this product
Have used one on my hack bike for years. Very good in use and hard wearing. Like 'By Pricey I pop riveted mine on when I first fitted it because I could see that it would probably drop off. But most things I get for my ancient fleet of 4 bikes needs a bit of spannering or bashing before they will work :) .

ConsBest if riveted
ProsRobust, effective
This is a robust mudflap. I would have welcomed some advice at the fitting stage, doubting the effectiveness of the metal reinforced ears for my purposes, I fashioned a curved 'washer' for the inner surface, removed the ears, and fitted it by pop rivets to my Raven Tourer. It does the job well, I ride much on tow paths which are frequently wet and muddy. It keeps the bottom bracket and chain ring free from mud. I wish I had specified it from new.

ConsFixings quite bulky
ProsIdeal size
The mudflap was ideal for its intended purpose.Perhap the metal wraparound fixings could be less bulky, but fitting did not prove a problem.

ConsDoesn't fit securely
Was very disappointed with this product - the metal wraparound fixings were poor and the inside sections of them popped out of the rubber. They didn't provide a secure fixing to the mudguard and the mudflap dropped off after a mile. I'm going to resort to pop riveting it to the mudguard.
Unfortunately I can't comment on the actual effectiveness of the product as it wasn't on my bike long enough to find out.
