ProsNeat solution, good quality, cheap.
Having bought a TRP Carbon All Road fork with rear facing mudguard mounts, I assumed that TRP would make some adapters to attach the mudguards, only they don't. It has taken me weeks to find these, and I have considered all kinds of other options. I was sure that someone somewhere must make something just right for the job. And they do! No surprise then that they are made by SKS. Good quality, cheap product that neatly adds mudguards to forks with rear facing mounts.

Just what I needed to fit standard mudguards on my forks, which for some reason decided to have the screw holes facing in the wrong direction!

ConsCould do with a different selection of fitting bolts
ProsExcellent quality Easy to fit
I found these to be perfect for my Orbea Avant disc bike. I replaced the Allen bolt that fits this to the frame and fitted the mudguards. I also recommended these to a friend who fitted them to his Specialized Roubaix SL4
disc bike.

The M4 Bolt that fixes the adaptor to the Frame is fairly short. It only catches a few threads on my frame. Is there a slightly longer bolt available which also fits the adaptor. An extra 5 -10 mm would make a difference and provide a more secure fixing.
You can simply change the fixing bolt for a longer one, providing the head is the same dimensions.

I’d be looking to fit mudguards such as the SKS Bluemels (38mm/45mm wide) for commuting.
Providing you have a threaded internal boss on the fork, yes these will fit and allow you to use mudguards.

What width/length is the threaded section that screws into forks/frame?
Will they fit a Merida Ride Disc 3000 2015 that takes 3mm mudguard mounting bolts?
Hi,

We unfortunately do not currently have stock of these so we are unable to measure them for you, however we do know that the thread will be 5 or 6mm in diameter as this is what mudguard/rack bosses normally are threaded to so its unlikely these will fit your bike I'm afraid.
