Are these compatible with the velo 47 trekking mudguards?
Hi
SKS list these as being compatible with the Velo 42 & 47. There is as well a kit available with Black stays for the Velo 47 Trekking which is our item number 50197.

Safety release for front wheel

Does the black plastic fitting on the stay end act to 'break away' if something gets caught between the tyre and mudguard on the front wheel? I.e similar to the way the secu clip works?
Also can I just buy the black fitting separately?
Many thanks
Thank you for your enquiry, yes they will unclip if something gets trapped.

Yes, unless your pannier rack is very slim.

Can I use these with Diacomp 4mm stays?

Hi, do you know diameter of SKS velo 42/55/65 stay? I'd like to use their adjustable plastic fittings with 4mm diacomp stays
Hi,

These stays are 4.5mm in diameter so the plastic fittings would unfortunately not be suitable for use with your stays.

Thanks.

Will the above SKS velo 42 urban mudguard stays fit a 20" wheel.
Hi

They should do however as they are designed for a 700c mudguard they will require trimming down to enable them to fit.

Regards
