The Esprit EZY Superior is a new take on the traditional style of pedal. Ideal for modern steel bicycles, this pedal features a replaceable one-piece alloy cage. Blockish in form, the cage and body are more angular that a traditional pedal.

The Esprit design moves the pedal body slightly further away from the crank allowing for some flex when compared to the Sylvan, which provides a smoother ride on rough roads. If the cage becomes damaged it’s easily replaceable using standard tools.

The patented Ezy Superior system allows for safe, rapid, and tool less removal of pedals for travel, storage, or flexibility. Particularly popular as an upgrade for folding bicycles, those who take their bikes on mass transit, or travel bikes with coupler systems our Ezy Superior system can dramatical improve ride quality while saving space. a light alloy X-Wing styled axle body and strong replaceable alloy cage.

Practical And Secure

I recommend this product
Consfiddly to remove and refit
ProsGood engineering
I need some pedals which were removable for my separable bike Moulton TSR. The Brompton folding bike has a folding pedal on the exposed side, but these Ezy's are even better. And on the street in London, chained to a lamp–post, removing the pedals is a further deterrent. Good product, well made.

Adapters available separately?
07 Jun 2022
Are the crank adapters available separately? I'm looking at using these interchangeably across a couple of bikes.
Thank you for your enquiry, unfortunately we are unable to source the adapters as a separate item from our supplier.

Plastic retainers?
11 Jan 2020
An earlier response indicates retainers are required for these pedals but I thought this model has a new system which does not require such retainers. Could you confirm please?
These are the spring loaded design, we will update the previous comment. We prefer to use the clips to reduce any possible issue.

Thanks - 13/01/20
Do you still need to use plastic retainers with these?
29 Mar 2019
I want some removable pedals for my bicycle as an extra security feature to deter theft. But all the MKS removable pedals I see need plastic retainers, which are a pain and kind of defeat the purpose of removable pedals.

Do these pedals need retainers? Also do you have any other MKS removable pedals that don't need retainers?
Pretty much every push remove pedal needs a retainer except the spring loaded ones such as these.

The bolt holes on these pedals do allow fitting of toe clips.

Bearings And Servicing
18 Nov 2016
Are the bearings field serviceable/replaceable with these pedals (as with some other MKS models)? If so can you source a bearing set if required?

These pedals can be disassembled to be serviced but MKS' UK distributor do not offer bearing sets as spare parts so we're unable to order them I'm afraid.
