Details

The Spanner is used to tension the saddle in compensation for leather stretch. It is made to fit on the tension nut under nose saddle where standard wrenches would be a tight fit.

- Suits all Brooks Saddles Except Swallow

ProsBespoke tool for the job

It fits in the tight space at the front of the saddle. Mine was creaking, I half turn with this cured the sagging leather and the creak.

I guess my Brooks B17 is a little too old for this spanner. Afraid it does not fit.

ProsMakes a nice key ring

This the best tool for getting the tension right on most Books (some use a 4mm hex) . An open end 13mm will not work , I tried there is not enough clearance between the rails .

The shape and design of this tool is perfect for adjusting your saddle. You could buy similar or cheaper but this is designed by brooks for brooks.
