For a touch of luxury

I recommend this product
ConsNeeds a little breaking in, periodic proofide treatment and cover when it is raining.
ProsWorks for me. With care they are long lasting: my others have lasted years/decades.
I came to the B17 titanium from some years ago finding that the 'cheaper' B17 was the only saddle that suited me and didn't give me medical problems in the contact region with the saddle. As it seems that I'll be using B17s for the remainder of my life, I've splashed out about £100 more than the cheaper ones to save about 100 grams weight.
Other than that, the tension of titanium frame is adjusted by a hex key in the bolt at the nose, while the cheaper/heavier steel frame ones are adjusted by turning a nut near the nose.
This one came wrapped in paper, in an embossed slightly waxy cardboard box, which also contains a hex key and a sachet of proofide.

ConsYou only get one leather top so invest in a kickstand protect it.
ProsEverything
Very expensive but very clear why. This is just the comfiest saddle you'll ever own once bedded in 500 or so miles time and proofide. Not meant to get them wet but a light shower did help mine soften faster as long as I didn't neglect it completely..

No cons besides I wish brooks could actually sell replacement leather. Mine is looking used with a scuff or two over years wouldn't make me sell it off but it is a saddle for life and would be amazing to give it some more life with the same set of rails.

ProsClassic looks, comfort and low weight
Back in the 1960s my bike had a Brooks saddle and I enjoyed many long-distance rides sat on it.

If you think comfort is more important than looks you really should consider this saddle. It's 'classic' look suits this 71 year old cyclist enjoying a few more years of cycling in comfort with a minimal weight penalty for the Titanium version, whilst younger cyclists might come to realise that classic looks with comfort really do win over a modern saddle.
