Details
Comfortable from day one thanks to the softer leather, the Flyer and Flyer S Aged are Brooks' classically sprung models for trekking and touring. Similar in shape and dimensions to the B17, the Flyer combines the comfort of the popular B17 with the extra suspension granted by two rear springs.

Proscomfort
I bought this pre softened saddle about 3 months ago and it has made a massive difference to the comfort of a ride. Before using this saddle I was having to stand up on the pedals to give my backside a rest, no longer. The springs don't appear to flex even with the firmest pressure but the soreness at the end of a ride is no longer there. I am now coming back to buy the same saddle again for my backup bike. Rub some of the brooks leather cream on every few months and away you go. You basically only need to tighten the saddle every 6 months or less and it's just a quarter of a turn. No fuss. Not hard. High quality saddle worth every penny. I switched to using my backup bike whilst my best bike was in the shop having repairs and I felt the difference on the first ride.

Consquality varies substantially,
Proscomfortable
my second brooks saddle and it was faulty, thankfully the very helpful people at SJS exchanged the item for me. The saddle was soft, too soft and I had to tighten it far too frequently for it to last very long. My first Brooks saddle only lasted 2 years,( I do cycle a lot 10,000km per year ), I had to tighten it fairly frequently, I now think that my first Brooks saddle was also of inferior quality. Brooks were not particularly helpful either merely recommending that I purchase their latest model ! I upgraded to a Brooks special which does seem of much higher quality, we will see how it lasts. So beware not all Brooks saddles are high quality.

Hello, Brooks flyer ages and antique saddles are only available in softened leather as far as I can see.
