ConsNone so far
ProsGreat engineering and finish
Fairly straightforward to fit to your saddle if you have the seat post out of the bike like I did. I bought the 10.4mm version for Selle Italia carbon rails of 7 x 9.8mm. It clamped up OK with the specified torque but I haven't ridden the bike yet so can't comment on whether it is sturdy in use.
a real improvement over the old two bolt design

Consstill a bit fiddly!
Prosmuch less fiddly than the old two bolt design
easy fit to my old aero carbon alien post, seems to grip better than the old two bolt design (which I snapped by over tightening in an attempt to stop it slipping)

ConsNEEDS A BIGGER BOLT
ProsBetter than original 2 bolt clamp
It's necessary if from time to time you need to change saddle. The bolt is so narrow and and delicate that eventually your Allen key will round out the hex hole. The recommended torque is nothing like enough to stop the saddle slipping off if you're applying a lot of power. A brilliant seat post is ruined by a delicate fiddly clamp which needs a much more substantial bolt, no matter the few extra grams in weight it might add.

If you are unfortunate enough to own a USE seat post and are not built like a whippet then sooner or later you'll need one of these. It's cheaper than getting a new seat post - at least in the short term. 7mm is the standard size.

Will this work with USE XCR shokposts?
By
20 Aug 2021
2004 vintageXCR has tiny two bolts to tighten clamp and cap heads are in trouble. Saddle rails are 7.3mm OD.
We have not tested this so cannot confirm- Best to Speak to USE about this directly before ordering.

Hi - would the 9.2mm size be OK for a saddle with 7x9mm oval rails? Will the extra 0.2mm tighten up enough?
Thanks
Hi there,

You should be able to use this without an issue, however as we have never done this we cannot say for certain I'm afraid.

Thanks.
If i have 7 x 9.6mm oval rails which option should i go for?
By

Unfortunately we would not recommend the 9.2mm or 10.4mm as they simply would be too tight or too wide.

Thanks - 28/06/19
Which one will work with a tune komm vor saddle.

The rails are 8x10 on the saddle

Thanks
we believe you will need the 8mm option.

hi, i have a fizik kurve saddle with oval carbon braided rails, can you recommend which size USE cyclops clamp will fit this saddle? mike
Hi there,

You simply need to measure the width of the rail, and then choose the most suitable size.

Thanks

What is the difference between the size 7mm and 7mm triathlon ? Does the standard 7mm rail correspond to the first one ?
Could you give me the spacing value of each one to let me identify the one I have to order ?
Thanks,
Matthieu
Hi,

The first 7mm option is for standard 7mm saddle rails, the spacing for both is still 43mm the Triathlon version is just designed for saddles rails that are 7mm wide but sit slightly taller.

Thanks.
