ProsReasonable price, works well
I needed a suspension seat post for our Thorn tandem. Asked SJSC for advice, and received the usual, very helpful and prompt response.
Product arrived in a couple of days, complete with appropriate shim, easy to fit and to adjust.
Delighted with how it works and the difference it makes.

My bike doesn't have rear suspension and biking on the Berks downs and the like was very uncomfortable until I got this sprung seat post. I adjusted the tension to suit my weight (12 stones) and it coped very well, very pleased with the product.

Does this have a micro adjustment to alter the angle of the saddle?
By

Yes it falls into the category of a micro adjust seat post BUT the adjustment is via toothed plates so the teeth determine the adjustment increments RT 03/08/2020
What is the spring travel for this dropper post?
By

Hi there,

The travel on this seat post should be in the region of 40mm.

Thanks.
Do you have a 31.6mm version of this or can you supply a shim that would work with this?
By

Yes we would have a shim to fit - https://www.sjscycles.co.uk/seat-post-shims/

Will This Fit An Ancient (20Yr) Raleigh Mtb?
By
04 Aug 2015
I've measured carefully with a ruler the seat post to be 1inch/25mm, but I can't measure this precisely.I need a replacement seat post for my old Raleigh pub bike.

Is the 25.4mm diameter likely to fit this old MTB?
Hi,

It is possible that the correct size seatpost is 25.4mm as this is exactly 1 Inch, but as Raleigh are well known for using unusual sizes on some of their old bikes it could indeed be exactly 25mm in which case this seatpost would not fit. I would recommend trying to find somebody with a set of callipers to measure the distance accurately.

Thanks.
