Brompfication Titanium Seat Post - 520mm - Black

New Black edition Titanium Seatpost. The seat posts have been PVD coated - a vacuum coating process that deposits a thin and very durable coating.

This is the standard length of Brompfications seat post - the effective length is similar to Brompton's standard seat post - this is compared to when the pentaclip is in the highest position.

Brompfication have strived to design a lightweight, yet solid seat post with a beautiful and clean look. Brompfication's seat posts feature the familiar setup with two yokes that clamp to the saddle rails in a half circle cradle. This is not only an elegant solution, but also saves a lot of weight compared to Brompton's pentaclip solution. The seat post is flared at the bottom, like the original Brompton seat post.

Titanium is one of the best materials for seatposts because of its ability to deflect shock, and increase riding comfort. Unlike most other titanium seat posts, all parts on the Brompfication seat post are made from titanium - the post is made from titanium grade 9 and the bolts, yokes, connecting rod and cradle are made from titanium grade 5.

The seat posts are 185 grams lighter than Brompton's standard steel seat post and pentaclip, and 175 grams lighter than Brompton's now discontinued titanium seat post.
