Standard version of Brompfication's Titanium Seatpost - the effective length of the seatpost are similar to Brompton's standard seatpost - this is compared to when the Pentaclip is in it's highest position.
Brompfication have strived to design a lightweight, yet solid seatpost, with a beautiful and clean look. Brompfication's Titanium Seatpost feature the familiar setup with two yokes that clamp the saddle rail in a half circle cradle. This is not only an elegant solution, but also save a lot of weight compared to Brompton's Pentaclip solution. The seatpost is flared at the bottom, like the original Brompton seatpost.
Titanium is one of the best materials for seatposts because of its ability to deflect shock, and increase riding comfort. Unlike most other titanium seatposts, all parts on Brompfication's seatpost are made in titanium - not only the posts and bolts, but also yokes, connecting rod and cradle are made from titanium grade 5.
The seatpost is 185 grams lighter than Brompton's standard steel seatpost and Pentaclip, and 75 grams lighter the Brompton's now discontinued titanium seatpost.
Recommended rider weight limit of 100kg. Recommended maximum rail clamp torque of 5Nm.
The seatpost consist of a titanium post, a connecting rod, two yokes, two 5mm bolts and a rail support cradle.

Well it described itself as a light weight seat post for my Brompton and that is exactly what it is. It wasn't until I received this I realised how heavy the original one was. Even the attachement to the saddle was a lot lighter than the one I was replacing.
I thought it was a bit expensive but this is the cost, nowhere else I found had this any cheaper and as I have used SJS before I bought it here.
I ordered this and a number of items from SJS over the past few weeks and all of them arrived very quickly without any issues.

Is this seat post compatible with the stock Brompton saddle?

Does this come with the rubber bung? If not will the one from the standard post fit?

How does max length compare with standard seat post?

Quoted length is 520mm and I believe the standard Brompton is 530mm. Is this therefore 1cm shorter in practice? I currently extend my standard seat post to full length with pentaclip at highest position, so could not afford to lose any height. But perhaps different fitting makes up for this?

Thank you for your enquiry. Once you add the saddle bracket the length of the seat post from the bottom to the saddle rails is 530mm so the same as a standard seat post.

Compatible With The Carradice Sqr Saddlebag Uplift Syste

Is this this seat post compatible with the Carradice SQR Saddlebag Uplift System and is the seat post solid enough to support a saddlebag with a certain weight (about 10 kg max, I'm using the Nelson longflap with it)

This seatpost should be compatible with the SQR uplift system, but as it is not something we have ever tried i can't say for sure. The post should easily be able to handle 10KG of weight in the saddle bag.
