Consoverpriced, easily lost

This new design is significantly lighter than the older expanding-bolt design. However, much more likely to be knocked out and lost, so replacements will be needed more frequently. I see no good reason that these are not supplied as (say) a 5- or even 10-pack at the same price.

I have a brompton from 2003. Fits this seatpost bung my old brompton too?

Assuming that both ends of the seat post are the same, could't you fit a bung at each end?

Is this a replacement for the older, bigger type, which was screwed on?

Is the older type not available anymore. And will the new one be just as good to prevent my folded Brommie to run away on its Eazy-Wheels.
