Do Sapim make a spoke key for these nipples?
By Ian

I can only see Sapim spoke keys for 3.45 mm nipples (yellow) and 4.2 mm nipples (red). I have used these nipples before and they require a red Spokey or similar. I need a new spoke key and it would seem logical to pick one from Sapim if using their nipples but can only see the two mentioned above.
Do Sapim make a spoke key for these nipples?
Thanks.

Hi, I can't see why we don't stock the Sapim red key (I'll look into it and add it if possible) but the Park key is a cheaper and JUST AS GOOD alternative. Our item # 19837SW40

Hi there, You write, those nipples require the red spoke key, which seems not to be correct. As they are 3,23mm they require the black spoke key (from Park Tools). You agree with that? Are those the nipples You use for the extra strong wheels of the Thorn Nomad ?? thanks, regards, Peter
SJS Customer Service:
Hi,
These nipples do require the red spoke key, the park tool spoke keys are different to the others. in all of the other spoke keys we have, including the DT Swiss one, the red size is the smaller 3.23mm size and the black one is the larger 3.4mm size. These are the nipples we'd use when building with Sapim spokes which are used on all Rohloff bikes so yes they would be used on the Nomad.
Thanks.
