Details
- A high performance lightweight spoke for use when weight saving is important
- The 14 / 17 gauge double butted spoke is 1.5 mm thick in the centre to save the greatest amount of weight, but 2 mm thick at the end where strength is needed
- The butting process adds strength through cold forging of the metal, and the shortest possible butts are used to save even more weight
- Made from X5 stainless steel, containing chrome for rust resistance and nickel for strength
- The rolling of the nipple thread removes no metal from the spoke and preserves the grain of the material, maximising strength
- Comes supplied with 12 mm DT Brass nipples

Proslight, strong, well finished
I use these exclusively for my road wheels. They are easy to build with, the shorter butting length makes negotiating tight hub drillings and large flanges easy. They look superb, and always seat well on the flange drillings. I built a set of wheels with straight gauge spokes the other day and was amazed at how big they looked as compared to my usual DT revolution spokes. Oh, and buying them in sixes is just brilliant.

Proscomfort, strength, quality
These lovely lightweight spokes will give a really comfortable ride and beat a lot of the more expensive factory made wheels in terms of weight.

ConsMay make a wheel that is a little too springy
ProsLight and aerodynamic
These spokes are exquisitely made, with the 14g butted sections of minimum length. I believe with a crossed spoke arrangement they impart extra resilience since they are deflected laterally slightly more than thicker spokes is in the area of the crossings when built. This should produce a slightly softer ride.
