I recommend this product
ConsVery loose fit on the cassette hub
Prosavailable in 19 size
fits very loosely on the cassette hub, rocking from side to side vertically, which counters the purpose of a cog with a wide base, I can only hope that the spacers will keep it vertical, although it will be continuously exerting a lever face against them, speaks of very poor quality control in machining the size
SJS Customer Service:
I'm sure that once tightened with the correct spacers it will be fine, regards Robin

Chain Size?

Hi, I’m slightly confused, could you clarify if this sprocket is for use with a 3/32 or 5/64 chain?

Many thanks!
It's for a 9 speed chain, these are often known as 3/32 as a general category but are in fact 5/64, having said that a wider derailleur chain would still work OK but not as quietly. RT 080120
Gusset Double Six - compatible with 7-Speed HG?
By

Going for single speed on by (very) old 7-speed MTB. It had a 12-28 HG cassette on it.. The description talks of 3/32 chain, but is the cassette long enough to take the spacers?

Just found an old Claud Butler Mistral that I could from you at the age of 16... you were on the other side of the road then!

thanks,
P
Hi there,

You should be able to do this without an issue, however we have never done this so we cannot say for certain.

Thanks.
Can I use the gusset slink 3/32 chain with this?

HI there,

As this is designed to be used with a 3/32 chain you could do this without an issue.

Thanks.
Compatibility...

Hello, instead of the 3/32" that I ordered, you sent me a 5/64"... can a 3/32" chain be used with this cog....?

(an odd mistake as you don't seem to offer a 5/64" on your site at all)
Thanks for pointing it out. In fact this sprocket is for 9 speed chains so our description is wrong, should say 1/2"x5/64" (9Sp) I'll get it changed.
Are These Sprockets Compatable With An 11Spd Chain? Thanks.

Double six 5/32" sprocket
Hi,

These sprockets are not compatible with an 11spd chain i'm afraid, they're designed for use with a 3/32" chain which is the same gauge as a lot of single speed chains and 8spd chains.

Thanks.
Compatibility Gusset Cog Campy

Hello,
Could you tell me if this gusset cog fits in my campagnolo 10 speed freehub body? I would like to convert it into singlespeed with a 16T or 17T. Is it the same model as the one in the 18T gusset kit? Thank you

Regards

Alexis
Hi,

These sprockets are designed to fit to Shimano free-hubs and are not the same as in the kit. We are able to special order the same Campagnolo sprockets used in the kit in 16T or 17T if you wish. For more information on ordering these; price/lead time etc. please contact [email protected].

Thanks.
