Perfect for dropping gearing on a Brompton

ProsPerfect for Brompton

15t sprocket for a 3 speed sturmey like the current BSR hub.
15t does fit Brompton!
Anything bigger not without frame mods.
Thank goodness SJS stock odd useful little things like this and much more besides..

Useful direct replacement part.

ProsDirect replacement part to keep the wheels turning

Now that Brompton no longer support earlier models with SRAM gears, keeping these bikes going is a concern. This is especially the case with items that wear such as transmission parts. Great to find this part available.

6 speed sachs

I have a 6 speed with Sachs hub, 15 & 13 t can I use this with spacers to replace cog?s..... the complete kit seems to have been discontinued everywhere?

Hi! This should work, we have not tested it and do not have a Sachs hub here to try. The kits are no longer produced as hubs stopped being used about 15 years ago.

Can I purchase 13T or 14T with different number of teeth?

Will this fit a Brompton BWR hub in conjunction with the Brompton 9-spline 12t sprocket? Thanks

Hi there,

No it will not fit as it is a 3 spline sprocket.

You need either SJS Cycles part number : 22347 OR SJS Cycles part number : 13766

Both sprockets need to be replaced when you replace the chain at 100% worn otherwise the chain will slip on them. 6speed models use 13/16t and 2speed use 12/16t.
