ConsRusty bolt.
ProsStem looks good
The stem is nicely finished and looks good.

Not impressed with the long main bolt. After 3 months the head is already rusty. Bike always kept indoors in a warm garage. Looks a bit rubbish now.

Can I use this to replace a cinelli stem on a 1987 Holdsworth road bike

Looking for a taller stem for a 1987 Holdsworth to replace a Cinelli. The cinelli has a split tube and cone locking arrangement in the steerer tube. Does the Nitto arrangement have the same locking effect?
This Nitto uses a threaded wedge, so as you tighten the will from the top the wedge is drawn up and locks into place.
