I recommend this product
ConsMaybe lacking in height adjustment
ProsGreat appearance for a classic build
I had previously ordered the 'Dia Compe ENE Hole-In Road Quill Stem' from another supplier, but the availbliity was months away. SJS had the non hole version in stock. The stem arrived in good time and was highly polished with a quality feel. The discrete 'Gran Compe' graphics in script are a nice touch. I havent fitted the stem yet as I am awaiting the frame to be built.

What does negative rise mean?
By
07 Apr 2019
My current 3ttt stem feels too much of a stretch for me at 120mm. Bike fit suggests I should have between 75mm and 85mm.
This fits my price bracket and looks nice! Just don't understand what a negative rise means? Sorry.
Negative rise means that the handlebar will sit lower than the top of the stem.

Thanks - 08/04/19
What Is The Height Of This Stem At Minimum Insertion? Thanks, Mike
By
06 Dec 2016
Hi,

There is 60mm above the minimum insertion point so this is how high the top of the stem will sit. As it has a negative rise it means that the actual handlebar height will sit much lower than this.

Thanks.
Rise

Is this a 15 (upright) or -15 (aggressive) rise?
Hi,

This a negative degree rise to give quite an aggressive position.

Thanks.
