Use in conjunction with specific tool for removing freewheels & cassettes. Holds sprockets when removing cassette lock rings, to be used in conjunction with a cassette removal tool such as the Shimano TL-HG16.

ConsAll whips need something to hold the tail of the chain on the sprocket
ProsThe best tool for rotating or holding a sprocket or cassette in place
Really useful if you plan on doing your own Rohloff sprocket or deraileur cassette removal - much nicer than grating your hands to on worn teeth! Top tip is to tie / cable tie the chain whip around the sprocket to avoid the chain part coming off.
