Details
- A worn chain shifts poorly and wears sprockets at an accelerated rate.
- The CC-3.2 is a Go / No-Go gauge designed to accurately indicate when a chain reaches 0.5% and 0.75% wear - the point at which most chain manufacturers suggest replacement.
- The chain should be replaced soon if the 0.75% side fits into the chain, before other drive train components also start to wear out fast.
- Longer design measures a greater length of chain, giving greater accuracy.
- Made from precision, laser cut steel.
- Consider that if you replace a chain because of wear other vital drive-chain components may need to be renewed too.
- 10-speed compatible.
- Made in the USA and covered by Park's legendary limited lifetime warranty.

Does What It Says

I recommend this product
When the 0.50 goes through it is time to buy a new chain.
When the 0.75 goes through it is time to install the new chain.

Good value as replacing a one chain plus one gauge costs less than one chain plus chainring plus cassette!

ProsFair price
I looked at all the chain wear indicators on sale at SJS Cycles and went for a middle priced one. Does the job.

Cons0.75 measurement could be replaced with 1.5
ProsDoes the job
Not a lot to say about this really, it is a bit of metal that you use to measure how worn your chain is. More useful for people with deraileurs than those with hub gears like me. If you have a quick release chain link you could always visually inspect how worn that is as an alternative to buying on of these. I don't care about the 0.75 measurement.
