Made the job easy

I just used this to fit a new Orbit XLII headset to a Kona Caldera. This was the first headset I have fitted and I was expecting the job to be difficult. This tool made it very easy and quick.
Money well spent in my opinion.

This does not work with Chris King Headsets, you will damage the bearing.

Can You Fit A Pressfit Gxp Bb With This Tool As Well?

Hi,

We have never tested it with a GXP press fit bottom bracket so we don't have any way of knowing for sure I'm afraid. Upon inspection of the tool we believe it will probably not work as the inner diameter of GXP bearings are smaller than that of the smallest step on this tool.

Is it best to fit top and bottom cups together or seperate? Can't really work out what the fancy washers are for?

Hi,

The cups are best pressed in together at the same time. To allow the handle to spin freely when pressing down, otherwise the harder surface of the stepped piece and the piece that spins down when twisted could create friction and cause damage to the headset.
